Kick Off Post

I'm excited to learn new things to try with my class.  I'm searching for fun, simple ideas that students can use to demonstrate learning.  I'm hoping to find engaging ways for that students can use to "show what they know."  I like using the technology I do know about, even if I'm not a pro and get easily frustrated by computer glitches.  In class I use the doc cam and projector daily, and several computer games that the class plays using the wireless mouse.   I also love to make Power Point shows to present new concepts in a visual way.  Using photos of people and places really sparks the learning!  Happy class, happy teacher!

Let's see if I can embed a youtube clip in my post.  This is a favorite with my classes - Peter Weatherall's "Not Just a Boring Square."  It's a great way to review our geometric shapes!

    1. Wow, your blog looks great! Summer is a nice time to play around with technology like this, since it gives us a little more time to experiment and overcome computer glitches. I can't wait to see what great projects you come up with! :)
